If theres one thing the American east coast is good for its providing the rest of the world with good, honest punk rock. With the melodic aggression and driving emotion reminiscent of mid-90s hardcore punk, Long Islands Capital are no exception. Their second full-length, Homefront features 13 tracks with unpredictable shifts in style, drawing comparisons to bands such as Avail, Dag Nasty, Propagandhi and Strike Anywhere. While the often politically charged lyrics arent, for the most part, preaching anything new or profound, Capital make up for any shortfalls by making use of strong vocals and throwing some exceptionally solid tracks into the mix. Worth mentioning is the passionate "On a Mission and the slightly satirical "Mosh Parts.
