Danko Jones and his Canadian hard rock unit start their Canadian tour this week in Manitoba, heading west across the country for a stretch of dates. The tour is in support of the band's recently released album, Fire Music, which you can expect the group's setlist to draw heavily from. Tracks packed with punchy riffs, combined with Jones' throaty vocals will make for a hard hitting, mosh-worthy live performance. Don't miss it.

Odd Future rap mastermind Earl Sweatshirt will be hitting the Great White North this week, in support of his new album I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside, which he released late last month. Earl's clever, dark lyricism has earned him a fair bit of notoriety, and if his past performances are any indication, it can be expected to look very much like a hardcore show, complete with mosh pits and stage dives.

Electric Wizard
Doom/Stoner metal legends Electric Wizard recently embarked on their first North American tour in over ten years and are hitting the Great White North once again this week with a show in Vancouver. The band's run is in support of last year's album, Time To Die, but you can also expect to hear a few tunes from their cult classic Dopethrone. Our review of their last North American appearance at Maryland Deathfest found the sludgy unit physically shaking the crowd with their walls of sound.

The band's style of classic-rock influenced grunge is filled with punchy, gritty guitars that perfectly complement vocalist Marissa Paternoster's powerful tone. The band are a tight unit in a live setting, managing to maintain an energetic stage presence while shredding out busy riffs.
