With one record barely a few weeks old and another just around the corner, it only makes sense that Owen Ashworth would now take his Casiotone for the Painfully Alone out on the road. So, well, that's what he's doing.
Next week, the dumpy lo-fi synth popper will pack up his gear and kick-start a pretty massive spring/summer tour, which includes an extensive trek throughout Europe and one here in North America as well. Included on the the long list of dates are a few Canadian shows - one in Montreal July 7, another in Toronto July 8 and one in Vancouver on July 16 - as well as an appearance at this year's edition of the What the Heck fest, which takes place in Anacortes, WA, from July 17 to July 19.
As we previously reported, Ashworth recently released the CFTPA odds'n'sods comp Advance Battery Life, and on Tuesday (April 7), he'll release the next proper Casiotone full-length Vs. Children.
