Cass McCombs Brings Wit's End on Brief North American Tour

BY Josiah HughesPublished Mar 9, 2011

Bummed-out Baltimore singer-songwriter Cass McCombs has announced plans for a new album called Wit's End, which is described in a press release as his "darkest record to date," adding that "it seems he is going deeper into the mania of a man buried alive." That's not exactly our first idea of a fun night on the town, but McCombs has now revealed a slate of tour dates to coincide with the record.

The run of shows kicks off at SXSW later this month and continues up the West Coast, eventually culminating in a single Canadian appearance at Vancouver's Waldorf Hotel on May 7. The North American chapter concludes in New York before McCombs heads to Europe for a month of touring. All dates are available below.

In addition to the tour announcement, Domino Records has released a stream of album opener "County Line." The slow-burning, soulful number is available for streaming below. Wit's End will be released on April 12.
