CBC Music Festival will return to Echo Beach in Toronto this spring, and Metric have been named the headliner of the festival's eighth edition.
The single-day outdoor fest, set to take place May 30, will also feature Half Moon Run, Lights (remix set), Jeremy Dutcher, Dizzy and Geoffroy on its main stage.
The returning q-curated stage will host 2019 Polaris Music Prize winner Haviah Mighty, Snotty Nose Rez Kids and the soon-to-be-announced 2020 CBC Music Searchlight contest winner.
The CBC Music Tent stage will also feature performances from Tanika Charles and Tedy, while family-friendly programming will run throughout the day at the CBC Kids Zone. More artists, a complete schedule and further festival news will be announced in the coming weeks.
A CBC pre-sale for the festival runs March 5 from 10 a.m. through 10 p.m. with code CBC2020, while tickets will go on sale to the general public March 6 at 10 a.m.
General admission is $39.50 +fees, while children 12 years old and under enjoy free admission with any adult ticket holder (two children per adult).
Fans outside the Greater Toronto Area will be able to live stream the CBC Music Festival through CBC Gem, in addition to cbcmusic.ca and CBC Music's Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages.
