Tributes urged the public to treat Lovato with respect and compassion during this difficult time, and praised the star for being so candid about her struggle with addiction in the past.
As previously reported, Lovato was found unconscious at her Hollywood Hills home just before noon yesterday. She was treated with Narcan, an emergency treatment used to counteract opioid overdoses.
The singer recently revealed that she had relapsed on her latest single "Sober."
This morning, Lovato's rep issued a statement about the singer's condition.
"Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support," it reads [via the Associated Press]. "Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now."
As we await further details about Lovato's condition, read some of the messages of hope and strength being sent her way below.

pain is tough, but pain with several eyes on it is a different beast. today it's especially important to remember how delicate circumstances can be and how necessary it is to respect, love, and support one another as human beings—especially through times of difficulty.
