Canadian belter Céline Dion is the butt of so many jokes that sometimes we forget that she is, y'know, an actual human being with feelings. Well, it looks as if her ego may be a little wounded, since her legal team just shut a blog devoted to making fun of the ultra-famous singer.
The Tumblr account in question was called Ridiculous Pictures of Celine Dion, and it was dedicated to just that: pictures of the chanteuse looking bad. All previous posts on the account have been deleted, save for one entitled "Céline Dion vs. Youself," which reads:
hey y'all
céline dion found our blog, and she didn't like it. we just got a letter from céline's lawyers that the blog has to be shut down.
though this blog is well within the realm of 'fair use', i don't have the money or time to get a lawyer to respond. the dream is over.
thanks for following and being a céline superfan
i'll always remember u
i'll never let go
The only picture that remains is a sole headshot in the sidebar, which shows Dion grimacing awkwardly.
This isn't the first time Dion has put a stop to people from making fun of her publicly. As People points out, back in 2002, her husband/manager René Angélil stopped a radio station from airing a parody of her song "I'm Alive."
Thanks to Prefix for the tip.
