Dance music vets the Chemical Brothers have revealed yet another grooveable preview form their forthcoming Born in the Echoes LP. Following teases featuring guests like St. Vincent and Q-Tip, the pair have now premiered a team-up with Beck, which is called "Wide Open."
The track was played on L.A. radio station KEXP yesterday (July 9). It features a chill kick-snare beat, which is cocooned by various soul-warming synth tones. Beck uses a light and lovelorn approach to detail how someone has been slipping away from him. Despite the four-on-the-floor pacing, it's a heartbreaker filled with melancholy melodies and reflective lyrics.
