Chrissy Murderbot

This EP is the latest release from Chicago, IL-based producer and DJ Chrissy Murderbot, and his first release on the L.A.-based Halocyan Records. Renowned for his excursions into the global bass scene, this EP manages to successfully connect the dots between the disparate electronic influences of the current UK bass scene and the more frenetic bass patterns of juke and footwork coming out of the States. The seamlessness with which each musical influence weaves in and out of the tracks on Friendship is glorious to behold, and isn't surprising, considering Murderbot is a veritable veteran of genre-hopping ― he released a mixtape a week for a year on his website, with each release celebrating a different genre of music. It's this dedication to musical diversification that lends this tape a sense of adventure. Remixes come courtesy of up-and-comer Sumsun and Dutch House legend Legowelt.
