As previously reported, Chromatics/Glass Candy member Johnny Jewel has been on a bit of a tear of late, serving up a series of treasures dug up from the archives. The latest goodie is an atmospheric twist on Chromatics' "Cherry," here dubbed "I Can't Keep Running."
Unlike the original's steady bounce, "I Can't Keep Running" unfolds slowly, with a long intro building up towards a quick expulsion of drums. The track keeps things relatively beatless, though — putting the focus on high-gloss synths, airy electronic wind chime textures and the intoxicating calls of Ruth Radelet.
