This Vancouver quartet might dish out the angular rock in a live setting, but their debut EP focuses on sweet hooks, fuzz guitar, high-energy rhythms and the bright vocal interplay of Kathy Dubé and Jennifer Smyth. Eschewing the art rock for more of a pure pop approach, this Mushroom studio recording actually came out of winning CITR radio's band competition. Also, the four originals featured here are augmented by an excellent cover of the Modern Lovers classic "She Cracked."
