Circle Jerks are once again hoping to get their 40th anniversary tour off the ground. Today the reunited punk band plotted out their new schedule, which will hold onto its Vancouver date.
While the tour was originally set to kick off in 2020 in celebration of Circle Jerks' 1980 album Group Sex, the trek will now start properly in 2022 following a few scheduled dates this year. In addition to a bunch of U.S. stops, the band will head to Vancouver on March 4.
Added up, there are nearly 40 dates on the schedule, and you can see it below.
The band will be playing classic material from both Group Sex and 1982's Wild in the Streets, a press release promises, with the latter album set to get an anniversary reissue later this year.
Circle Jerks also announced today that Keith Morris, Greg Hetson and Zander Schloss will be joined by drummer Joey Castillo on the tour.
"We're over our differences. There's no ego-tripping," said Morris in a statement. "We're getting in shape, and we're doing a good job. Our rehearsals sound great — it's beyond my wildest expectations."
Opening support on the tour will come via Adolescents, Negative Approach and Municipal Waste.
