Victoria, BC-bred electronic experimenters Cobblestone Jazz evolved their sound when they brought on their close friend the Mole for last year's The Modern Deep Left Quartet LP. Now, with two members living in Berlin and two in Canada, they'll continue to push their boundaries via a new series of twelve-inch records.
The first in the series is called Memories (From Where You Are) and features part one and two of the title track on a limited twelve-inch. The songs were pieced together using recordings taken at a Berlin jam session, and they're built on jazzy improvisations with vintage gear.
Memories (From Where You Are) will be available on August 3 via Wagon Repair, the label run by the group's own Mathew Jonson.
