Coldplay

"Anthem for the Weekend" (ft. Beyoncé)

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Dec 1, 2015

It's only Monday, but UK rock group Coldplay have already set us up with a new "Anthem for the Weekend." The latest A Head Full of Dreams preview, which features a big-time guest appearance from Beyoncé, is streaming now.

The song premiered through Annie Mac's BBC program today (November 30), and begins with some smooth singing from the Queen Bey. What follows is a jaunty piano loop, a stomp-tacular beat comprising footsteps and triangle tings, and some familiar falsetto work from lead singer Chris Martin on the nature of feeling "drunk and high." How high, you might ask? According to the floaty vocal on the chorus: "so high."

Should you want to cut loose with Coldplay, you can spark up the track via the player below, which also includes an interview between Mac and the band's Guy Berryman.

A Head Full of Dreams is out on December 4 via Parlophone.
