2011 was a breakout year for all-around sax star Colin Stetson, between his acclaimed New History Warfare Vol. 2: Judges, its companion EP Those Who Didn't Run and a handful of guest spots (Bon Iver, Feist). With just under two weeks to go, the gracious experimental horn blower has given us another gift in the form of this tripped-out video for the EP's title track.
Scored by Stetson's hypnotic swells, the ten-minute clip assembles heady visuals, from misty moonlit scenes to serenely sensual mirror images of cascading waterfalls. Drink deep on this one, friends, and hope that New History Warfare Vol. 3 drops much, much sooner than next fall.
