Coliseum

"Skeleton Smile" (ft. Bonnie "Prince" Billy) (video)

BY Jason SchreursPublished Nov 8, 2010

Louisville sluggers Coliseum have launched the NSFW video for their track, "Skeleton Smile," from their 2010 barn burster House with a Curse.

The track's video, featuring guest vocals by Bonnie "Prince" Billy (aka Will Oldham), is a brutally hilarious mash-up of Reflections of Evil director Damon Packard doing his blood and splatter thing, along with scenes from Kentucky exploitation director William Girdler's Grizzly. So, lots of, um, humourous bear attacks and decapitations, set to the classic Coliseum crunch.

Meanwhile, the band are offering a free download of an outtake from House with a Curse. It's a cover of the Misfits' "Bullet" and it's being hosted by Stereogum here.

Also, Coliseum's current label, Temporary Residence, is reissuing their 2005 EP, Goddamage and is including 10 bonus tracks on triple gatefold-sleeved vinyl. The band are touring Europe all of November and into December with Canada's own Bison B.C. and Sweden's Kvelertak.
