It's hard to believe, but fiery Canadian hardcore crew Comeback Kid's 2005 effort Wake the Dead celebrated its 10th anniversary yesterday (February 22). Former vocalist Scott Wade has marked the occasion by unearthing a pair of previously unreleased, era-appropriate rarities over SoundCloud.
First up is a heretofore unreleased, untitled track from the same recording sessions as the LP. Following a lengthy intro, the tune offers up a mix of tough guy grooves and bendy, melodic six-string leads, as well as Wade's gravelly, reflective vocals.
The second goodie is a rough-around-the-edges demo take of Wake the Dead's "Talk Is Cheap," which annihilates as much as the LP edition with a series of speedy beats and thuggish breakdowns.
You'll find both uncovered cuts down below.
