Earlier today (January 6), hip-hop veteran Common announced that he was collaborating with producer No I.D. on a full new album called Nobody Smiling. Hours later, the new song "War" has emerged.
The track offers up mid-tempo, B-movie horns and giant drums, not unlike a song that Doom would've crushed in his King Geedorah days. Common, meanwhile, offers up his typically busy wordplay, calling out violence in Chicago and hip-hop hypocrisy.
