Montreal songwriter Brigitte Naggar will release her latest full-length effort as Common Holly late next month, and ahead of the record's arrival, Exclaim! has your first listen of the title track from Playing House.
Led by Naggar's gentle voice and acoustic guitar, the track takes on the issue of security in relationships, lyrically looking at lovers "clinging to the waning security of their partnership." Intermittent percussion swells only add to the composition's emotional depth.
Playing House officially arrives on June 8 digitally, while a release party will also be held at Montreal's Casa del Popolo on June 29. Scroll through Common Holly's tour dates to hear the record's title track in the player below.
Tour dates:
05/27 Montreal, QC - The B.O.G.
06/11 Montreal, QC - Le Cagibi
06/29 Montreal, QC - Casa del Popolo
07/16 Montreal, QC - Blanc de Blanc
