Complete Failure

Perversions of Guilt

BY Keith CarmanPublished Apr 15, 2008

It seems like some sick joke to think that a band might actually prove themselves crustier than Napalm Death, angrier than Today Is The Day and more imposing than Neurosis. However, it’s true. Complete Failure’s unending delivery of all things humanity has constructed itself to oppose on Perversions Of Guilt forces the reality on us with 11 cases of blunt force trauma. Thanks to the hyperactive pacing, coupled with guttural grunting, scratchy distortion over everything and breakdowns Terrorizer could only have dreamed of, the entirety of this album is like both the first high a heroin addict continually chases and the one that inevitably kills them off. That recurring nightmare you had as a child now has its own soundtrack.
