Aussie songwriter Courtney Barnett had a whirlwind weekend in Toronto at NXNE, playing three shows and earning a rave review here at Exclaim! Now, Barnett has announced plans to return to Big Smoke this fall on a co-headlining tour with Brooklyn baroque pop act San Fermin.
This joint outing consists of seven shows. Most of them are in the U.S., but there is also a Montreal date on October 24 in addition to the aforementioned Toronto stop the day after. See the co-headlining itinerary below.
Meanwhile, both acts have busy summer schedules that include separate Canadian dates. San Fermin has a couple of Quebec City performances next month along with an appearance on Guelph Lake Island for Hillside; their schedule is here. As for Barnett, she is coming to Vancouver on July 4 and playing at Osheaga in Montreal on Courtney Barnett on August 2; her schedule is here.
Barnett is supporting last year's The Double EP: A Sea of Split Peas. San Fermin are promoting last year's self-titled debut album.
