Sure enough, their Ed Sheeran collaboration is omitted

Cradle of Filth have announced their new album — and, as promised, Ed Sheeran isn't on it. The Screaming of the Valkyries is out on March 21 through Napalm Records, and the single "To Live Deliciously" is out now.

The English metal group have been promising a collab with Sheeran for a few years now, but they recently clarified that it would be left off The Screaming of the Valkyries for fear that it would "overshadow the record." Sure enough, the album included eight songs and nary a mention of Sheeran.

Cradle of Filth vocalist Dani Filth said in a statement about opening track "To Live Deliciously," "The song is about the celebration of life. Of indulging in everything unfettered from the conformities of religion, fashion or state. Free from guilt or constraint. As nature intended. It could be read as a hedonistic life code. And a positive one if not done at the expense or the suffering of others."

Check it out below, along with the album tracklist. The Screaming of the Valkyries is available to preorder here.
