Current Swell Live the "High Life" in New Video

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Aug 27, 2019

British Columbia-based rock band Current Swell have unveiled the music video for "High Life."

Just because summer is winding down, it doesn't mean that the urge to pack up and leave the city with your friends is going away — so that's exactly what happens in the new clip. It was directed by Ft. Langley and shot on 16mm film.

"'High Life' is partially about that feeling of living in a city and wanting to disconnect," the band tell Exclaim! "We really wanted the video to capture the song's vibe and Ft. Langley nailed it with this one. A motorcycle trip out of the city with your friends in the summer is nostalgic on its own and shooting the video on 16mm film gave it a handheld, loose aesthetic that feels right for the song."
