Daft Punk to Appear on 'Colbert Report'

Daft Punk haven't done any touring in support of this year's Random Access Memories, but fans may soon get a chance to hear the band perform some of their latest material live, since the beloved French duo are gearing up for an appearance on Stephen Colbert's political comedy show The Colbert Report.

This news comes from a fan account of the July 25 show taping that was posted on Colbert News Hub [via the Huffington Post]. Colbert apparently shared the information with the live audience following the show, when he filmed an instalment of a segment in which he dances with various guests while "Get Lucky" is playing.

Then, on Monday night (July 29), Colbert made an expected cameo on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, when he and Fallon danced briefly to "Get Lucky."

It's been confirmed that Daft Punk will appear on The Colbert Report next Tuesday (August 6). It's not clear exactly what the band will be doing, but if Colbert's preview segment is any indication, perhaps a rendition of "Get Lucky" is on the cards?
