While Blur remain caught in will-they-won't-they limbo regarding a possible new album, singer Damon Albarn is pressing ahead with his plans for a solo album. While the details are still up in the air, he just shared a trailer revealing that it's on the way in 2014.

The clip is just 21 seconds long, and it features some black and white shots of Albarn recording at a piano. We hear a brief snippet of music that pairs pensive piano chords with sparse electronic beats, and the clip ends by revealing that the album is "coming 2014."

There's currently no more confirmed information available, so we'll have to settle for this cryptic teaser for now. Watch it below.

Albarn previously revealed that he was working on a solo album with XL Records boss Richard Russell (Bobby Womack, Gil Scott-Heron) handling production and creating the rhythmic backdrop. At the time, he told Rolling Stone that it was "sort of folk soul."

While this is being billed as Albarn's first proper solo album, he's embarked upon numerous projects outside of Blur, including Gorillaz, the Good the Bad & the Queen, Rocket Juice & the Moon, Africa Express and more. He's also released soundtracks.
