Serene soundscapist Daniel Lanois has announced he'll be supporting his Juno-nominated LP, Flesh and Machine, with a series of Canadian dates.
While a handful of upcoming dates had already been announced, including West Coast appearances in Victoria and Vancouver in early March, Lanois will be keeping himself busy with additional dates further east. His late April/early May schedule has been booked to include dates across Ontario, in Ottawa, Toronto and Hamilton.
The shows will feature support from collaborator Rocco Deluca. The trip will reportedly have Lanois delivering real-time, electro-organic experiments, as heard on Flesh and Machine. A press release explains that his live show "explores the relationship between musician and technology." You'll find the show specifics down below.
Flesh and Machine has been nominated in the Junos' Instrumental Album of the Year category. The prizes will be handed out March 15 at Hamilton's FirstOntario Centre.
