In the lead-up to the Juno Awards on March 30 in Winnipeg, JUNO TV has been rolling out live videos as part of its Vault Sessions. The latest of these features Juno nominees the Darcys, and their performance of "The River" is available to watch now on Exclaim.ca.

The song was filmed with three cameras in a tiny room at JUNOS HQ, with a trio of wall-mounted cameras giving the whole thing a "security camera" feel. Frontman Jason Couse performs solo, stripping down the song from Warring to nothing more than reverb-kissed guitar chords and sensitive vocals.

The full Darcys session — with three songs and an interview — will be available starting tomorrow (March 13) over here on JUNO TV. The band's Warring is nominated for Alternative Album of the Year.

Subsequent Vault Sessions will come from fellow nominees Justin Rutledge and Born Ruffians. Past ones have featured July Talk, Daniel Romano and Rich Kidd.
