Daughters Prep New Album for February Release

Following a three-year break since Hell Songs, Rhode Island metal techies Daughters have revealed that they'll be releasing their third album in early 2010. The record, which is currently self-titled, will be released by Hydra Head.

Back in the spring, Lambgoat caught up with the band while they were recording the album. In the interview, guitarist Nick Sadler had nothing but praise for the album's engineers.

"The studio is constantly growing and helping make some monstrous recordings, as well as taking some really cool creative routes in terms of the recording process," he said. "Basically, the two engineers are really, really into what they do and put a lot of time into mastering their craft both technically and creatively. It helps to be in a studio whose engineers understand what your going for, what your band is about, and what you're into... basically having common reference points for what's happening makes things go a little smoother and Machines with Magnets are pretty tapped into what's going on in the music world at large. They did Battles' Mirrored album."

Daughters' third album doesn't have an official release date yet, but it's tentatively been scheduled for a late February release.
