De-Phazz

Godsdog

If you exist in a highly excitable state of over-stimulation; if you enjoy hip-hop with a strong trip-hop trance dance groove loaded with a heavy quota of jazzy solo breaks and sample loops, then you will probably grow addicted to De-Phazz really fast. I was hooked by the sophisticated blend of creative textures in the sultry hybrid "Cafe Coca," "Steps Ahead," "Zero Zero" and soul ballads like "April Shower," "Havana Moon" and "Next Message." One sample goes: "We're communicating with the vocabulary of light." I couldn't put it better myself.
