"Death Waltz Halloween Mix 2014 Part 1"

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Oct 30, 2014

While the soundtrack masters at Death Waltz Recording Company are crate-digging for the creepy scores and macabre movie cues all year long, the Halloween season has the gang getting extra generous. Just ahead of the ghoul's night out, the label's Spencer Hickman has put together a new seasonal mix with DJ Bobba Fatt that splices together supreme sounds from the slasher and horror worlds.

The "Death Waltz Halloween Mix 2014 Part 1" clocks in with an hour's worth of music, though a number of scream-heavy clips of movie and trailer dialogue from flicks like Halloween and, uh, Sling Blade are mixed in for good measure. It dabbles in everything from space rock to full orchestra scores, highlighting the label's recently delivered vinyl repress of Ennio Morricone's Una Lucertola Con La Pelle Di Donna (a.k.a. A Lizard in a Woman's Skin), as well as Sleepaway Camp's synth pop-styled "Angela's Theme."

You'll find the mix below, care of FACT.

Also, you'll note that this is only "Part 1," so like last year, you can expect more Death Waltz mixes to pop up shortly.
