Just last night (March 31), the Decemberists impressed us with a Toronto show, and now they have expanded their summer tour schedule to include a some extra concerts, including some here in Canada.
The theatrical folk rockers had already announced Canadian festival appearances at WayHome and Osheaga. Now, they've added July headlining dates in our country in Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg. There are also a couple of new U.S. gigs.
See their full tour schedule below. Pre-sale tickets for the new shows will go on sale tomorrow (April 1); get more information at the outfit's website.
Meanwhile, the Decemberists' 2005 album Picaresque will be reissued on red vinyl for Record Store Day (April 18). Their album What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World came out back in January.
