Destroyed

A reunion of sorts for J.D. Jackson and Bert Switzer — two-thirds of the late ‘70s garage rock icons — the six new tracks on this compilation feature only guitar/vocals and drums à la the White Stripes only rawer and less radio friendly. Also included in this hodgepodge of material are a trio of cacophonic toss-offs Switzer the spastic drummer recorded with avant-guitar hero Henry Kaiser and ten tracks from the Destroyed's heyday. Not terribly melodic but what these songs lack in melody they more than make up for in honesty and intensity.
