Earlier today (January 5), we learned that Dan Bejar would be taking his electro-laden new Destroyer album, Kaputt, on a Canada-friendly North American tour this spring. Now, adding to the good news, he has unveiled the video for the album's title track.
The song is a gorgeous disco pop tune that's filled with '70s-style keyboards and soulful sax leads. The video is much harder to pin down, as it shows a bevy of spandex-clad ladies, a bespectacled teenager, an oasis in the desert, a fleet of dancers carrying water glasses, and a whale flying with a flock of birds. We're confused too.
