Dan Bejar is releasing LABYRINTHITIS — his 13th album as Destroyer — on March 25. We've already heard the mechanical intensity of first single "Tintoretto, It's for You," and today we get another taste called "Eat the Wine, Drink the Bread."
The new song is immediately one of the grooviest in Destroyer's deep catalogue, riding an intensely bouncy bassline and some jittery funk guitar. It also has a handful of great Destroyerisms, including the swapped verbiage of the title and this gem: "I piss on the floor, the band sets up on the floor/ I piss on the floorboards, the whole world's a stage."
