In our recent review of Chains of Love's latest Vancouver performance, we casually dropped a comparison to garage rock cover band the Detroit Cobras. Well, we totally called it, as the two acts will be teaming up for a Canadian tour this summer.
Chains of Love will open for the Detroit Cobras this July when they play 11 gigs that stretch as far west as Vancouver and as far east as Montreal. For the Cobras, this Canuck outing is bookended by some U.S. shows, although these don't feature the Chains.
See the Detroit Cobras' tour schedule below. They haven't released a proper LP since 2007's Tied & True, while Chains of Love recently released their debut EP Strange Grey Days.
