Devo Unveil Booji Boy Throbblehead Figure

A couple years after Devo delivered an energy dome-topped Throbblehead figure, the truth can now be told: another wobbly statuette is about to hit the market. This time, it's childlike band mascot Booji Boy that's being brought into this already wiggly, wiggly world.

Aggronautix has confirmed that their pint-sized Booji Boy starts shipping in June. The character, a baby mask-wearing weirdo portrayed in films and in concert by frontman Mark Mothersbaugh, is preserved "wearing his favourite over-stuffed exercise suit, and is armed with an early circuit-bent toy."

The character was first presented to the world at large via Devo's The Truth About De-Evolution short film and had also appeared in Neil Young's Human Highway film. Booji Boy has also been known to appear in concert, singing songs like "The Words Get Stuck in My Throat," "Beautiful World" or "U Got Me Bugged" in an uncomfortable falsetto. A press release explains that Devo's intent with Booji Boy, son of General Boy, was to "satirize infantile regression in Western culture."

The figurine is limited to 1,000 hand-numbered units and also comes with a sticker sheet. You can find out more over here.
