Diplo and Snoop Dogg Join Forces for New Album

From Dr. Dre to the Neptunes to Damon Albarn, West Coast rap vet Snoop Dogg has had some major players pop up on his albums to produce some tracks, and it's just been revealed that the next high-profile board-handler to work with the rap icon is Diplo.

The producer took to his Facebook yesterday (March 1) to post a picture of him and Snoop having a smoke in Diplo's Miami studio, and captioned the photo with news of their collaboration.

"18 records deep on this snoop dogg project," Diplo posted. "i dont think the world is ready ......."

Not much has been revealed from the project beyond that, though early last month the big Snoopy D revealed his next album would be called Reincarnated, which is set for a 2012 release. However, it's unclear whether Diplo is working on this upcoming Snoop venture or a different record entirely.

Snoop's last release was the soundtrack to his Mac and Devin Go to High School film with Wiz Khalifa, though his last long-player was 2011's Doggumentary. Diplo, meanwhile, has still to hit us up with that second Major Lazer LP.
