We accidentally got some information about new Dirty Projectors material thanks to a Spotify leak last month, and now we know what the title "Little Bubble" was alluding to.
The band have unveiled a new single by that name, complete with an accompanying video.
According to a press release, the track makes reference to bubbles of a social, cultural and technological variety, as well as those that form around people in intimate relationships. The song also serves as "a very timely exploration of the double-edged sword of insularity and comfort, and the trade-offs we make choosing them."
The clip was directed by band leader Dave Longstreth and Adam Newport-Berra, and it builds on the "visual language" of Dirty Projectors' 2012 short film Hi Custodian.
