We're still over a month away from the October 15 release of quirky post-punkers' the Dismemberment Plan's reunion LP Uncanney Valley, so the band have slid us another sneak peek before the due date. This latest leak is called "Daddy Was a Real Good Dancer."
While featuring a jittery and jumped-up backbeat, the track casts some glumness on the party with vocalist Travis Morrison relating that his pops threw his dancing shoes away at the onset of adulthood. The bittersweet nostalgia also gets amplified by slip-sliding guitar work, and you can sample the melancholy results down below.
As previously reported, Uncanney Valley arrives via Partisan.
