In recent years, British rapper Dizzee Rascal has been arrested in a road rage incident and threatened to punch Prince Harry. Well, it looks as if the volatile MC has let his temper get the better of him once again. This weekend, he missed his appearance at Portugal's Optimus Alive Festival after being kicked off a flight following allegations of verbally abusing a stewardess.
On Saturday morning (July 9), Dizzee and a member of his entourage were escorted off a British Airways plane by police. The rapper reportedly had insulted a member of the cabin crew, and the airline confirmed [via Daily Mail], "Two passengers were offloaded from a flight due to disruptive behaviour." The aircraft was still at Heathrow Airport when the incident occurred, as the plane had been sitting on the tarmac for over an hour due to technical problems.
The rapper's spokesperson alleged that the outburst was sparked by "unprofessional behaviour" from the attendant, which "led to a confrontation whereby mutual parties agreed Dizzee leave the plane."
According to an eyewitness, "Dizzee was getting very angry it was taking so long to take off. Then he threw a tantrum with staff." After Dizzee got ejected, his bandmates reportedly kicked up a fuss, saying that they couldn't play without him. There were no arrests made.
An airport source added, "There will be an internal investigation and a decision will be taken as to whether he will ever be allowed to fly with British Airways again."
If you were wondering what happened to the flight, it eventually took of three hours late.
