DJ Earworm

"United State of Pop 2010 (Don't Stop the Pop)" (video)

No matter how much you hear pop music, whether it's at the mall, the grocery store or from car full of teens, not all of us are Top 40 savvy. Enter DJ Earworm, who has mashed up 25 of 2010's biggest radio hits into an extended Euro-club track.

While snippets of songs by Eminem, Bruno Mars and even soft rockers Train pop up throughout the bass-thumpin' genre blender, the two standouts in the mix are Ke$ha's year-dominating number "Don't Stop" and Katy Perry's equally monstrous smash "California Gurls." The main melodies of each synth-laden song wriggle throughout Earworm's piece, and honestly, by mid-song we don't know where one song ends and the other begins.

Even if you're not a commercial music fan, this will be a good primer on what the mainstream thinks you're missing out on.
