D.O.A. Head to China and Europe, Prep New DVD

BY Josiah HughesPublished Jan 6, 2009

Last year was kind of a big deal for Vancouver punk legends D.O.A.. Besides celebrating their 30th year as a band, they also managed to release the Bob Rock-produced Northern Avenger. The band, who allegedly invented hardcore with their album Hardcore '81, should have another banner year, with a whole slew of international dates.

The whole thing kicks off in China next week, where the band will play five shows. While these rare, historic shows will obviously be hard to catch live, they will be filmed for an upcoming live DVD and documentary. Following the mini-Chinese tour, the band will play a few West coast dates and presumably spend some time at home before they embark on another massive tour, this time spending most of April in Europe.
