Country music icon Dolly Parton has shared a quarantine-inspired new song, "When Life Is Good Again."
Written entirely during lockdown, the song shares a message of hope for the future, when we can open up our doors again and invite the world back in. Dolly's message about learning to use this downtime to become a better person and friend is especially relatable after clocking in at over 70 days in isolation.
In addition to uplifting spirits with her music, Parton also recently launched a livestream series titled "Goodnight with Dolly," in which she reads bedtime stories to children. The 10-week series aired directly from her YouTube channel.
The singer also recently donated $1 million to Vanderbilt University in support of coronavirus research. What a gem.
