Once the disc is put in the player, it shows up as a 38-minute continuous "electronic" mix by DJ Chosen Few entitled "The Party Animal Megamix" off of the album Terrordrome III. Wait, has the label sent the wrong disc instead of Doom's latest release? No, of course not, it's Doom, all right, would you expect anything else from the Metal-Faced Villain? The album is a self-produced mixtape full of a bunch of Doom's guest spots and rare and unreleased tracks. From the slinky piano loop of "Da Superfriendz," featuring Cannibal Ox's Vast Aire, to the Western-flavoured "Sniper Elite," which has Doom spitting obscure couplets over one of Dilla's Donuts beats, Doom delivers the goods. Other than the poor sound quality and the incredibly annoying and goofy vocal tag peppered throughout the disc ("Doom's as evil as ever!"), this collection is a definite must-have for Doom-heads. Whether or not he was invited is irrelevant, Doom is always a welcome guest on any hip-hop track. But don't waste your time looking for his name on the guest list ― you won't find it there. That's because he's on the VIP list.
