A lot of people already hate Valentine's Day, but that ire is bound to reach new levels now that Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR have revealed that they'll be releasing their long-teased collaborative album, $ome $exy $ongs for U (it's even aggravating to type!), on February 14.

The artists shared the news on Instagram today, posting a video teaser that prompted the same visceral reaction to seeing a Cybertruck on the street in at least two Exclaim! staffers. It's not just that it sounds bad — sorry if you're still into overwrought Auto-Tune and canned slow-mo trap beats — but it features Drake looking forlorn and wearing egregious pants that look like garbage bags stuffed with golf balls. It's all a lot to process, sensorially speaking.

The rapper and the R&B singer have been collaborating since at least as far back as 2013, when the former guested on the latter's track "Over Here" from his self-titled album. They've worked together plenty more times since then, and have been teasing this joint album since not long after PND released 4 last April. Drake's last album was technically 2023's Scary Hours 3, which added to the already-bloated For All the Dogs.

As we're all aware, the rapper has been more into dropping lawsuits lately, having sued his and Kendrick Lamar's shared label for defamation and harassment over the five-time Grammy-winning diss track "Not Like Us." The song included lyrics accusing Drake of being a pedophile, so this feels like a great time for him and PARTYNEXTDOOR to release some loved-up slow jams together.
