Drake fans are worried about his heart. The one in his hair, that is.
In an Instagram post featuring some recent photos of the 6 God, fan account @drizzy_drake_vids wrote, "That heart is stressed ๐๐ญ," referring to the heart-shaped buzz that has become his signature hairstyle for the Certified Lover Boy era
"I had COVID," Drake replied, "that shit grew in weird I had to start again ๐ it's coming back don't diss," casually revealing (for what appears to be the first time) that he'd contracted the virus. We weren't aware that COVID-19 could do that to your hair follicles, but we shouldn't be surprised.
Drake has yet to speak out more about his COVID diagnosis or symptoms. Hopefully, he's recovering well and is vaccinated to avoid passing the virus on to others.
Some fans are already joking that Drake's coronavirus diagnosis will delay his long-awaited Certified Lover Boy album even further. As previously reported in January, the artist shared that he was postponing the release due to having sustained a leg injury. "I was planning to release my album this month, but between surgery and rehab, my energy has been dedicated to recovery," he wrote in an Instagram story at the time.
Late last month, Drizzy said that the "album's cooked," in a brief appearance on Sound 42's Fri Yiy radio show.
Only time will tell when the album will actually drop โ it's starting to feel more and more like a Kanye West DONDA situation as time goes on.

Yesterday (August 16), Lizzo explained why she name-dropped Drake in "Rumors," while it was recently announced that the Toronto MC would be executive producing a documentary on Black hockey players.
