The-Dream Prepping "NWA-Type Hip-Hop Rock Band"

While the last few years The-Dream has delivered countless song cycles devoted to love, sex and how to sweet talk your girl into accepting your cheating ways, the R&B Lothario is contemplating something a little more through provoking with the announcement he's planning on putting together a political rap rock group.

The-Dream may have a new mixtape and the now-delayed The Love, IV (Diary of a Mad Man) in the works, but the man born Terius Nash recently revealed that he's getting ready to work on a new project that pushes him in a more politically conscious direction.

"I'm listening to music for a future band I haven't made yet. I have 53 records and a direction for a new NWA-type hip-hop rock band," he told Hiphop-N-More [via NY Mag]. "Real messages, very political."

While it's way too early to speculate, we can only assume The-Dream's enlightened side-project will be a little more "Fuck Tha Police" than "Fuck My Brains Out."
