Having previously toured with the Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Japandroids and Turbo Fruits, '90s lovers Surfer Blood have lined up their next buzz-worthy touring buddies: the Drums.
The two groups have announced a lengthy co-headlining tour, starting in early September and running until late October. The bands will be doing a full clockwise loop around North America including a show in Vancouver. The Drums will playing Toronto and Montreal on the same tour, although Surfer Blood won't make it out to those shows.
The pairing of Surfer Blood and the Drums is a logical one: not only did the two blog-favourites release their debut LPs in 2010, the bands both came out of the same Florida music scene (although the Drums are now based in Brooklyn). The bands have even purchased a shared domain name, TheDrumsAndSurferBlood.com, which will host a pre-sale starting on Wednesday (July 28). Currently, the website is still blank.
