A day after Eagles of Death Metal dropped the first track from their forthcoming Zipper Down LP, the band have now confirmed the rest of the album arrives in the fall. It comes out October 2 via T-Boy/UMe.
As previously reported, Zipper Down is the first Eagles of Death Metal album since 2008's Heart On. The record features 11 new songs. This includes the newly shared first single "Complexity," which also opens the collection. Other numbers include "Skin Tight Boogie," "The Deuce" and a cover of Duran Duran's "Save a Prayer."
A statement from vocalist/guitarist Jesse Hughes explains that the new album "represents to me an attitude and philosophy of life: One should not zipper up, they should zipper down and let it all hang out."
As you can see by the ridiculous, skin-revealing album cover up above, the mysterious and headless cover star ascribes to the same philosophy.
Co-conspirator Josh Homme added: "In an independent study, four out of three doctors say ZIPPER DOWN is an eargasm trapped inside a crazerbeam. And I believe them."
Earlier this week, the band revealed plans for several months' worth of tour dates. Among those are stops in Vancouver, Winnipeg and Toronto, the latter as part of Riot Fest. You'll find all of the date and venue details below.
