This week, Canadian singer-songwriter Eamon McGrath released Exile Part 1, the first of three mini-releases from an upcoming album on Aporia Records. To mark the release, he recorded a live-in-studio EP for the Pinball Sessions.
The session finds McGrath joined in the studio by his live band. It's not too much of a stretch to hear him perform his songs in the studio, since Exile was similarly recorded live-off-the-floor. McGrath and company begin with the gruff Exile Part 1 cut "Enduring Love." The other songs from the session — "Exile" and "Canadian Shield" — are also new, but don't come from the EP.
